P.iR.A.M.iD. project at Opportunity Morning in Malaga: Connecting and Promoting

8 November 2024

On the 7th of November 2024,  we were at  Opportunity Morning, an event organised by the Provincial Council and Arrabal-AID in Mangas Verdes neighborhood. Designed to empower and inspire, this event brought together over 800 young people, educators and a diverse range of companies and organizations—all committed to exploring new opportunities in education, employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Opportunity Morning isn’t just a typical event. It’s a vibrant street market of ideas, where young people can dive into a world of possibilities. From interactive exhibits to live music, collaborative graffiti, and sports, the event offered a wide array of activities focused on issues that matter most to today’s youth.

We were there to promote our P.iR.A.M.iD. project, whose main objective is to improve integration, inclusion, and well-being in multicultural contexts. Our booth was buzzing with activity, as curious students and passionate teachers stopped by to learn more about how P.iR.A.M.iD. aims to make a difference. So many people signed up to learn more about our work, revealing the strong desire out there to understand and celebrate different cultures. We met inspiring young students, eager to create positive change, and passionate teachers dedicated to supporting the next generation. The event provided us with a unique space to not only showcase our work but also to engage with others who are equally passionate about social change.

The highlight of the event was conducting Focus Interviews, where students had the opportunity to voice their needs, share their ideas, and articulate their vision for an ideal learning experience. By connecting directly with them, we’re uncovering what students truly value in a course. These sessions are transformative, as they shift the perspective from students as passive participants to active contributors in shaping their education. Listening to students in their own words is helping us design courses that are not only relevant but truly shaped by those who matter most.

Our team left the event with new connections and fresh ideas. It’s events like Opportunity Morning that remind us of the power of community and the importance of collaboration. Big thanks to everyone who stopped by, signed up, and shared their perspectives.
